My father encouraged me to try it, and I immediately fell in love with the sport.

People usually call me “Alan.”

Kirill Gerassimenko (Kazakhstan).

Q4. What do you focus on in your daily practice?

No matter what kind of practice it is, I always try to give my best and stay fully focused.

Q5. What kind of playing style and favorable match situations do you keep in mind during games?

I focus on keeping the ball on the table and never being afraid to play creatively.

Q6. What do you do when you’re behind in a match?

I try to stay relaxed.

Q7. What’s the match you remember the most?

Winning my first U19 title at the WTT Youth Contender Metz. It was an amazing feeling.

Q8. What are your hobbies?

I like playing other sports, such as hockey and football.

Kazakh cuisine or Chinese food.

Almaty.

Q12. How has becoming a Butterfly Advisory Staff changed things for you?

It has allowed me to play matches with more confidence.

To break into the world’s top 50.

Q14. What’s your ultimate goal as a table tennis player?

To win an Olympic medal together with my team.

I’m grateful to everyone who supports me. I feel that support strongly when I’m competing in tournaments, and it means a lot to me.
