Butterfly has renewed its contract as the official clothing supplier for the German National Table Tennis Team.

The German National Team has long been a key player in the realm of table tennis in Europe. They have won the Men's Singles titles at the European Championships three times in a row (2018: Boll, 2020: Boll, 2022: Qiu Dang), and this year the women's team won the Women's Teams' champion for the second time in a row while the men's team reached the final.
The German team is highly competitive and always among the best in the world. At the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, Ovtcharov won a bronze medal in Men's Singles, while the German team won silver in Men's Teams after beating Japan in semi-final.
The team also won a silver medal in Men's Teams and bronze in Women's Teams at the 2022 World Team Table Tennis Championships in Chengdu. Ovtcharov/Franziska won a bronze medal in Men's Doubles at the 2023 World Table Tennis Championships in Durban this May.

Butterfly has enjoyed a good relationship with the German table tennis community since the inauguration of its German subsidiary, Tamasu Butterfly Europa GmbH, in 1973. The German Bundesliga, the pioneering professional table tennis league, has attracted players from many countries and regions (including Japan), and Butterfly has supported this league for many years.

Since 2010, Butterfly has been supporting the German National Team for the last 13 years and this is the fourth time the contract has been renewed. Butterfly will continue to support the team by providing uniforms and training outfits.

Comment by Claudia Herweg, President of the German Table Tennis Association
The German Table Tennis Association and Butterfly have enjoyed a successful and harmonious relationship for more than a decade. Continuity and reliability are important to us. We are therefore very pleased to be able to rely on Butterfly's expertise for the next four years.

Comment by Takako Osawa, President of Tamasu Co., Ltd.
The German National Team's first encounter with Butterfly can be dated back to 2010. We have been working with the German National Team for more than 10 years. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Tamasu Butterfly Europe and half a century of Butterfly activities in Germany, and we are honored to continue our contract with the German National Team in this memorable year. We look forward to the continued success and progress of the German National Team and will continue to support them in the years to come.
